Memristor evaluation board

Memristor evaluation and testing system.

Category:

Description

Highly flexible, electronically programmable and low power memristor evaluation and testing system. It is embedded system designed on a printed circuit board for testing and evaluation of the memristor arrays fabricated by various technologies.

Main board contains rows and columns of connectors placed around STM32 based microcontroller. The connectors allow the user to insert a HAT (daughter) board designed for testing specific memristors. The main board is powered from USB connector on the right side of the board. HAT (daughter) board is memristor analyzer/test board and it is designed to test memristor devices arranged in matrix up to 16 x 16 elements. Programmable transimpedance amplifier (TIA) allows to measure current in range from  100pA to 5mA up to +/-5 Volts. Gain of the TIA is programmable from the application GUI, however TIA current range can be set manually using a jumper by switching between four precise sensing resistors.

Host software
The host software running on PC (Windows OS) communicates with the test system via USB interface. The control software allows the user to control, configure the test system to work in
conjunction with the host or autonomously in low power measurement mode. The test system allows the control software to read values of each memristor to create V-I characteristics in graphical form and read multiple memristors at the same time.

Firmware
The test system allows the user to upgrade the firmware whenever the new firmware is available. The firmware is upgradable via USB interface.
